Student Assistance Program (SAP)
SAP is a school based program made up of school and community agency staff that work together to help you access school and community services for your child. The purpose of this program is to identify any barriers to a student's learning and implement interventions both in school and outside of school so the student can achieve success.

A student may be referred by a parent, teacher, or other staff member. Referrals are made after recognizing a change in student performance, behaviors, appearances, attendance and/or relationships. At the time of a referral parents and teachers should both be aware of the issues and a plan should have been created to address the situation. If the behaviors do not improve after the plan then the individual will make a SAP referral. From there the SAP team will work together to discuss interventions in and out of the school with the help of our SAP Liaison from Westmoreland Case Management.

SAP is all based on Guardian/Parent permission and it is important for the Guardian/Parent to follow through with the process to see success with the student.

Please contact Mrs. Faulk (724-523-6522 ext. 3111) if you have any questions about the program or would like to make a referral.

Here at Jeannette we have a weekend food program. We get food bag donations from local community programs. Students who may be in need of extra food on the weekends benefit from this program. Food bags are sent home with the students every Friday.

If you are interested in your child participating in the Jeannette Backpack Program please contact Mrs. Faulk at 724-523-6522 ext. 3111.
