Course Description:
Sixth grade language arts is designed to increase students' communication skills through reading, writing, spelling and the study of grammar. Students will be reading a variety of fiction and nonfiction text including novels, short stories, dramas, poetry, and essays. Students will master the three modes of writing: narrative, argumentative, and informative, as well as formulate text-dependent analysis responses.
