Math and Social Sciences Homework

The students math homework is to practice the fact fluency skill of the week.  Every Friday, we take a post test on the week's fact fluency skill, and a pre-test on the new facts.  Students are expected to practice their addition/subtraction facts of the week daily using their Fact Fluency Home Packet.  The graded quiz on the facts of the week is given each Friday for a 10 point grade.  To help students practice the fact of the week, a tri-fold fact fluency pamphlet will also be given every Friday when the students take the pre-test.  Students have one week to complete the entire fact fluency tri-fold.  They can work on this home at their own pace.  They may turn it in early, but it is due for a 2 point grade every Friday and will be collected right before the post test is given.  Please practice your facts daily!

Along with practicing addition and subtraction facts, you can practice math skills
at home by counting money, and telling time on an analog clock. We  use a computer program called Xtra math in school daily; students can also use this program to practice their math facts at home!  All information and log in information is sent home at the beginning of the year!   There are also a lot of fun math apps as well for students to use at home to practice their math skills!
